Overview: How do you communicate what is going on in your classroom to students and families? The options are basically limitless! Take a look at the following resources to help you navigate the world of communication.

Blogger: Blogger is a great way to communicate what is going on in your classroom.
           Features:
                - Embed a calendar of daily assignments
                - Write weekly posts/updates to be viewed on the main page
                - Link websites, videos, screencasts, and assignments directly to your blog-page
                - Include multiple collaborators (Is your PLC all on the same page? Have one blog for your entire department!)
                - Blogger interface and sign-in is connected directly to your Gmail account

Other Blog-Type Resources: Many other websites can be used to get a blog-type style of communication to your students and families. They are:
            Kid Blog
            Edu Blogs
            Weebly


Powtoon:  Powtoon is a great way to introduce yourself or your classroom expectations to your students and families on Back to School Night or as an introduction on your teacher web-page.
          Features:
                - Free templates that are visually attractive and engaging
                - Animation features to make it uniquely your own!
                - Templates when you are in a rush!


Other Movie Creation Resources: Many other websites and tools can be used to create presentations that share information to students and families. They are:

          Explee


Google Suite: Google is basically the master of all communication capabilities with sharing features on their documents, slides, forms, etc. This is great for sending home assignments and other forms of communication.
          Features:
               - Connects directly to your and your students' gmail accounts
               - Sharing features on all documents, slides, forms, and sites (with privacy settings and editing settings)
               - Documents and slides link easily to blogger and other websites with information stored on the cloud
               - Google also provides great opportunities for providing specific communication to your students in the form of feedback - comment directly on the documents your students are creating or have created for specific and timely feedback



Mastery Manager: A basic and common tool used throughout the district, Mastery Manager becomes a great way of communicating with students and families about academic progress.
          Features:
               - Print or email reports separated by standards
               - Organize data based on class demographics, etc.


Other Data Collection and Sharing Resources: There are many other data collection websites that allow you to share specific information with students and families. They are:
          - Quizlet
          - Socrative
          - Edulastic
