Mindmapr: mind map is a graphical way to represent ideas and concepts. It is a visual thinking tool that helps structuring information, helping you to better analyze, comprehend, synthesize, recall and generate new ideas.
Just as in every great idea, its power lies in its simplicity.
Peardeck: Pear Deck is part presentation, part assessment, and all awesome. Pear Deck was founded by educators to help teachers make their teaching more active, interactive, and easy. Pear Deck allows you to plan and build interactive presentations directly from your Google Drive. Every student can join the live session on his or her device as an active participant!
Prezi: Prezi is a presentation tool that can be used as an alternative to traditional slide making programs such as PowerPoint. Instead of slides, Prezi makes use of one large canvas that allows you to pan and zoom to various parts of the canvas and emphasize the ideas presented there.
Movenote: Movenote is a presentation creator that allows you to add content from your computer or Google Drive such as documents, pictures, worksheet, and more. Your files are converted into slides, then you can record your message. While recording you can highlight your main ideas and advance through the slides. Then save, and share. You can attach Movenote to your Google Drive and new features allow you to send a video presentation directly from Gmail. Screencast-O-Matic: Screencast-O-Matic is the original online screen recorder for one-click recording from your browser on Windows or Mac with no install.
Screenr’s web-based screen recorder makes it a breeze to create and share your screencasts around the web, with no program to install. (No students under 13 may create content using Screenr.)
Snagit is a screen capture and recording extension that works on Chromebooks or in the Chrome browser. It is tied to your MVGMail account, so your videos are stored in Google Drive and are easy to share or add to your MVYouTube channel. (Need written permission for students under 13 to use.)
SMART Recorder is a great option IF you are using a school computer AND you have access to a microphone. If you decide to download Smart Notebook at home, you need to get version 11 (not the newest one!). If you are using a Mac and have the latest operating system, this option will not work for you - your computer is just too new!
Screencastify: Screencastify is a screencasting extension for Google Chrome. It allows you to record your screen activity for creating tutorials, etc, and runs entirely in Chrome, so opens the possibility of screencasting up to Chromebook owners.
